A luxury album presenting Poland’s beautiful countryside and natural heritage, its history and traditions, and the abundance of its historic sites – alongside a picture of the country’s present day and its development trends.
To present these very different topics as clearly as possible, the book has been divided into four chapters. Always presents Poland’s natural world; Yesterday is on its history and traditions; Today shows our own times; and Tomorrow treats of Poland’s future.
President Lech Wałęsa and Professor Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament, start the book off with a foreword. Distinguished academics, Professor Henryk Samsonowicz, Professor Michał Kleiber, and Professor Franciszek Ziejka, provide introductory essays to the illustrative parts. We have assembled a rich collection of first-rate photographs by eminent Polish photographers, as well as reproductions and archival photographs to give a comprehensive picture of the subject.
